The 2020 Lifestyle Reconn R2 Stealth has touched down at The Dirt Off Road Campers. Be the first to check it out up close and personal at the Let’s Go Caravan & Camping Show, 12-16 Feb at the Wayville Showgrounds (Adelaide), 10am to 5pm daily.
Below is some information on our new display camper, fitted options, and a glimpse of some of the new features for 2020.
Exterior
The Stealth nickname comes from its blacked out decals, an optional item to appeal to those seeking an individual look. And mated to the Charcoal exterior finish, it looks great. Even better in the flesh!
Other exterior options fitted include CSA Raptor wheels, rear fold down BBQ table, rear-mount bagged ensuite shower tent, automatic roof lift and close, and a 3 burner stove.
Interior
Inside, its configured with the new Dinette layout (optional ensuite or bunks available). A dual seater lounge is pushed into the front corner opposite another single lounge chair that butts up to the bed base. A tri-fold table separates the seats.
New storage is located to the left of the entry door with four sliding drawers and a cupboard to swallow all your gear, complemented by the under bed drawers.
Internal colours are from the new range, with Iron cupboards and Nero Marmo Adriano (grey marble) bench tops.
Options fitted include a recessed sink with glass lid with hot and cold water; an upholstery upgrade (graphite); and Sirocco fan.
2020 Updates
New for 2020, the facilities locations have been standardised across the Reconn models with the dust suppression and external shower moving to the rear on the driver’s side. Wind tunnel testing has shown cleaner air at this location and the shower location means a rear mounted bagged ensuite tent can be fitted.
The large rear storage cupboard has been reconfigured. The fuses and Redarc Manager battery management system are now mounted on the back wall for improved access. The kitchen and storage cupboards have new blacked out handles.
Suspension
While the Cruisemaster XT Coil independent suspension remains standard across the Reconn range, new for 2020 is the availability of the ATX Coil suspension as a $1,250 option. The ATX Coil brings improved suspension performance with longer travel coils, upgraded components and larger remote reservoir shockers for increased performance in challenging terrain. Inspection
All in all, the revisions add many key improvements to what is already an impressive off road adventure camper.
