Beyond our manufacturers, we have close knit crew of camping enthusiasts that make up our local sales team. Here’s the low down.
Damien Rafferty
Our newest recruit, Damien, is a well-travelled off-road enthusiast, driver trainer, and Landrover buff. We first met him in 2015 when he drove his ex-Army Landrover 110 Perentie 6×6 Ambulance dressed in Camo to our store looking for a camping kitchen solution. We were so intrigued about him and his vehicle, we put together an interview for the Caravan & Camping Sales website. You can read it here.
When he’s not working in sales, you’ll find him down at Jakem Farm running Driver Training.
Steve Doxey
If you’ve been following the Pioneer brand for a few years, you’ll be familiar with Steve. He’s a Pioneer Mitchell owner and helps us out at the shows, sharing his experience as a Mitchell owner.
Steve travels with his wife and a large black Labrador, so if you want to talk about travelling with pets, he’s your man. He likes a few luxuries when camping, such as his Ozpig, several coffee makers, and an electric chain saw to help feed the fire. Here’s Steve below, showing how easy the Mitchell is to setup.
Jason Grech, Jakem Farm
Jason is another remarkable fella. Always smiling or laughing, it’s hard not to feel great when he’s around.
Jason and wife Kristina own and run Jakem Farm, a four wheel drive and camping property in the Adelaide Hills. It’s a great place to unwind and escape the rat race for a weekend of camping or just driving the tracks. Better still, it’s less than an hour from Adelaide.
Jason helps us out at the shows with our Travelander tray back camper brand. He also runs Off Road Towing and 4WD Advisory Courses for us (and others) at the Farm.
He’s a key advocate of the Beyond Blue Charity and hosts a fundraising event each year.
