Renegade 12

The Renegade 12 packs a full touring setup into a 12ft body that measures 5.5m overall and just 2.28m high, so it slips down narrow tracks and tows comfortably behind most mid-size 4WDs. Underneath, a hot-dipped galvanised chassis rides on Cruisemaster XT 2600kg all-terrain suspension with a DO35 off-road coupling, 17″ alloys and 265/70 R17 all-terrain tyres.

Insulated fibreglass composite panels, a reinforced composite floor and an exo-skeleton body frame keep the tare to 1,598kg while leaving around 1,000kg of payload for water, gear and supplies. Every Renegade is hand-built to order by Rhinomax on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast and backed by a 5-year structural warranty.

Inside, the queen bed lifts into the roof by day to open up a four-seat café lounge with a swing-away table, then lowers at night onto a queen innerspring mattress. Outside, the Renegade becomes a full basecamp in minutes:

• Lift-up queen bed over a café lounge, with twin under-bed drawers and an under-seat portaloo.
• Galley kitchen with Rhino-Stone benchtop and built-in sink.
• Slide-out external kitchen with 3-burner stove, stainless sink and a 69L fridge/freezer in the front box.
• 500W solar, 330Ah lithium and a Victron 2000VA MultiPlus inverter/charger, run from the RM Digital touchscreen command centre.
• 110L fresh water, Webasto diesel hot water and cabin heating, plus an external pop-up hot/cold shower pod.
• 3.5 x 2.5m awning with weatherproof annex options.

Solar, lithium and water capacity can be upgraded at order, along with Cruisemaster ATX air suspension.
