This follows the news that Track have acquired both Pioneer Campers and Trakmaster Off Road Caravans from AF Gason Pty Ltd, to further reinforce their off road stable.
For the first time in Australia, the Track Tvan will be sold alongside its sparring partner the Pioneer Mitchell, leaving customers to compare the similar, but different ideologies on off road camping.

History
We approached Track Trailer to be a dealer back in 2015, based on our extensive use of their product, having owned a Desert Eagle, Tvan and Topaz. And while we could talk credibly about our experience with the brand, Track were already well established with a large Caravan Dealership in South Australia.
However, they did allow us to sell their soft floor camper the Track MATE, which was previously only available direct from the factory. We thought this may provide a leg up into the big kid’s pool of the other models, but it didn’t happen.
In 2017, Pioneer Campers offered us their SA Dealership and in particular a model that mimicked the design of the Tvan – the Pioneer Mitchell. In fact, both campers went head to head in the Camper Trailer of the Year awards in that same year, with the Mitchell coming out on top.
The Mitchell was bigger and heavier that the Tvan, but it ticked boxes with its ease of setup, superior storage and a sit-up in bed capability. The large opening windows helped bring the outside in and gave it a real sense of space.
With the recent acquisition of Pioneer by Track Trailer, The Dirt Off Road Campers will now sell both brands side by side. We love the Tvan! It changed our life (see our Track Trailer ownership evolution HERE), helping us explore Australia’s wide brown land in comfort over many years. But we love the Mitchell too, for similar but different reasons.
